To My Fellow Highway Patrol Fans:

Welcome to the Web Page dedicated to the show we grew up watching. If you are like me, I can never get the site of a big black & white Buick zooming down a wide open California freeway out of my system.

Over the years, my love of "Highway Patrol" has led me to collect video copies of the episodes, articles, photos, toys, and finally to build a 55 Buick Highway Patrol replica! I have had the honor of meeting many of the show's stars, advisors, creators, and directors. Along the way I have learned a great deal about 50's TV, Ziv productions, and the real California Highway Patrol.

I commend Glenn Davis for putting together this fine Web Page, so these memories could be shared with other big boys who become mesmerized when they hear that familiar refrain.

Yesterday, I learned Robert Waguespack recently passed away. Robert was a big fan of Highway Patrol. He used to come to various car shows where we became friends and he even got to meet Kelly Crawford. Gary! Where can I get one of those Broderick Crawford t-shirts! I really like the one you are wearing in the interview video of the gentleman who was a young officer on the set of Highway Patrol. Been awhile since my last visit.

HP narrator Art Gilmore often played a superior officer on the "Dragnet" reboot and "Adam 12." Seldom, however, did we hear the familiar, stentorian voice he displayed as HP narrator.

The Season 1 "Adam 12" episode "I'm Still a Cop" is an exception. While delivering an ultimatum to a group of protestors he projected his lines with such force that I was finally able to match the face and the narrator's voice.

I enjoy your site, so I hope at sometime you could clear out all the spam
crap in the guestbook posts that probably turn off newbies who come here.
The rest of what you have here is still terrific, but I miss the comments
here from other fans.
It's probably why I seem to be the first one to post here in 2024.

Its a downright shame some sad sack of crap is posting all this gibberish
on this great site, it discourages fans from posting.
I am always telling people to come here, but they get turned off by this stuff.
I tell them to read the earlier years posts here on the Guestbook.
Anyway, thank you for maintaining the rest of this site.
